-newbie clutch question
Need some help here, my question is, is the clutch system on the 4g63 motor is interchangable with the N/A motor? Reason I ask is that my clutch need to be changed... I'm thinking about buying this exedy oem replacement clutch kit.. http://www.clutchcityonline.com/mitsubishi_eclipse.htm
but it's listed for 4g63T .... it's the cheapest kit I could find... I only need it for daily driving.. but I'm not sure if I should buy it since it's not listed for the 420A. Also if I buy a clutch kit for a 1G n/a will it fit on my 2G? |

Re: -newbie clutch question
Is there any recommendations from any of you guys out there? Of what to buy etc.... I really don't feel like going to a dealer or mechanic and over pay.

Re: -newbie clutch question
I know Clutch Masters makes a nice kit for the 420a, but I don't know exactly where to find them so you'll have to do a search on yahoo or something.

Does anyone know if the kit listed on that web page that I put up there will fit on to my tranny? I really need to know because it's the cheapest oem replacement I find so far.. but I'm hesitant to buy it since it's listed for the 4g63.... any feedback or advice would be appreciated

Re: -newbie clutch question
a 4G63 clutch will NOT work in a 420A
SPEC makes a full line of performance clutches for the 420A http://www.specclutch.com/specMain.html

Would a SPEC - Stage 3 Clutch - be okay for a "daily driver" ?

Re: -newbie clutch question
A SPEC stage 2 is good for 360ft.lbs. The Stage 3 is good for 450ft. lbs. I think... And the pedal pressure would be a lot harder. Maybe even some chatter going into 1st. My 2 cents
