Manual Trans ?

I have an 01 GT. I put an ACT clutch in last august. In the last couple weeks I've noticed a slight Squeek and a pause in excelleration in second gear. It only does it when I am just starting up after the car has sat all day at work or for longer periods of time. Whats really weird about it is that it only hapens when the rpm's are kinda up there and I'm in the powerband. I'm talking like 33-3500 rpm's. Anybody out there have this problem or know what it might be.

Re: Manual Trans ?

does it squeek and hold rpms at say...4k when your shifting out of first?

i had the stock intake in there and the runner for the air just under the hood closed off pretty much all of my air flow, i ripped it off and now just have the hole in the side of the stock airbox left

what i did is pushed it in first, shifted to second, got a whistling sucking (kinda squeeky) sound from the car and it wouldn't accelerate at all went from 5.5k in first to 4k in second when i shifted and the noise happened and it woulnd't do anything

thus is the wealth of my knowledge of the matter...good luck

Re: Manual Trans ?

No its a solid squeek. Almost like the tranny or the axle is slipping for a second. Just scared that something is in the process of breaking.

Re: Manual Trans ?

Yeah mine does that after sitting over night (I have an 01 GT as well) I get it to about 3000-4000 RPMs and then shift out and it knocks out, but then i get to a stop shit down, then start again and its all back to normal, i thought i was the only one.
