1992 Ford Taurus Engine problems
I have a 1992 Ford Taurus LX, I had the Head Gaskets replaced earlier in the year and now there seems to be a tapping sound coming from the engine. The mechanic said that it could be possible that I will throw a rod with the repair of the gaskets, is this what is happening? Can it be fixed or should I replace the 19,000 mile engine or worse just sell the car?

Re: 1992 Ford Taurus Engine problems
do you have a 3.8 or a 3.0?
I would wait until the engine dies then see how much it would be to replace it, if its less than $1100 then do it, if not then just junk the car then, they'll probably give you about $200 for it.
