Fuel Treatment for my Suzuki Sidekick 95
Hello, I've read about how using higher Octane just doesn't do anything really unless you've got a brand spanking new Sports Car.
Well, someone I respect, recently told me about how I SHOULD be using High Octane regardless and How to start using Fuel Treatment for my car. Any takes on this? And if I DO go ahead and make use of Fuel Treatment, anything in particular I should stay away from?

if you use a higher octane fuel all you are doing is wasting money , because your engine is not able to completely burn the fuel , so unless you have a engine that is suffing from knock i would stick with the low grade stuff , and as far as a fuel treatment goes , i have always used STP complete fuel system treatment , it comes in a big gray bottle and you can pick it up at you local parts store , just pour a bottle in every oil change and you will be set

Hey there and thanks for the feedback.
 Yah, that's what I've heard. It'd just be a waste of money. But does that mean I shouldn't bother with the fuel system treatment either? Or DOES IT actually help?

the treatment will help , not only does it keep the injector clean and the intake system but it will help keep water out of your fuel
also if you are in need of a top i have a brand new black soft top from besttop that was only on my tracker a month before the engine blew ,if you know anyone that needs one i will let it go for $150 bucks ($300 new) and i have to brand new front latchs they sell for $25 a piece at the dealer i will let go for 30 bucks for the pair

Thanks bud. 'just got back from a 1 week vacation in one piece. I used the treatment about every other fill.

I have always heard that fuel treatment is useless. Recently I tried some of the new Lucas Fuel treatment and it really seemed to give my 1992 Geo Tracker a shot of adrenaline! It has the consistency of motor oil and you onkly need to use a small amount. I put it in when I was almost at empty and then filled the tank. It really did seem to help. I have also heard that Seafoam is pretty good also.
