S600, S65, or CLS55?

Ok, This doesn't happen very often, but I'm stuck for which of these cars to buy next. You may think that the choice is obvious "S65"...

...but heres the dilema:

I already have an SL65, which I'm in love with, and I know that the S65 is going to be as impressive as the SL. Thing is, I like the SL because it feels special, and that I'm treating my self to something a little out of the ordinary when I take it out, and I'm afraid I'd loose that feeling if I had a 65 as my everyday runaround too.

So, the S600 and the CLS55. Thay both have similar performance, so thats not a problem. I'm used to the S class, and I really like it. BUT I have seen the CLS500, and my jaw dropped when I realised just how utterly beautiful it is, but I'm used to the size and luxury of the S, and as the CLS is as big as an E class, and lacks the kit that the S class has, so I'm torn bettwen these two as well!

S600

CLS55 AMG

S66 AMG

PLEASE HELP ME!?!

first: what kind of job did you have?

second: maybe you should wait for the new G-class.
or just get that beautiful CLS.

Given his name - I'd go with no job and enjoying retirement

The S600 is a world class ride, but for a few K more, I'd have a Vanquish out in the garage. First its time to get another house, then the NSX and the Vanquish some time after that.

I've already got a DB9. And why would I want an off roader? I didn't think there were any plans for a new G class.

I don't like the look of the R class, and I've already got an X5 as the big car for the dogs and grandchildren, so thats a no.

Lastly, I want another mercedes. Simple as that. Its got to be big, spaciouse, luxurious and fast. This is why I'm so stuck.

Well, ok. My name is James Caroll. Me and my brother were amoung the first people in the UK to start mainstream car franchises. Our first dealership was Caroll's Mercedes Benz of Wolverhampton. We expanded rapidly after that, taking on more dealerships in more locations.

By 1995 we had a portfolio that included Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Audi, BWM, Aston Martin, Ford, Saab, and toteld 67 sites artound the UK. The Company was turning over 9 Billion, with profits of 5.5 million.

My brother sold out in 1996, and I followed in 1998. The company has been split into various different groups and taken over now.

Still... glad i'm retired!

When you need a daily smooth ride, get the S600. It's less radical than those AMG versions.
Otherwise, I'm still with the CLS.

oh, and you rock

Re: S600, S65, or CLS55?

Get the CLS. They won't be as common as S-classes.

Thanks. I did think of something else however. I phoned my regular supplier, and asked him what he thought. He suggested that I change the SL for the forthcoming SL69 AMG, and buy an S65 AMG.

Thing is, I don't know if I want to do that. The 69 just sounds like pointless overkill to me. So now I'm just ultra confused...

SL69 AMG??!?!???! I had to google that to make sure you weren't high on something, and whadayaknow the thing exists. I absolutely agree with you, completely unnecessary.

I cant see it happening. I'm leaning towards the CLS. I'll see what Brabus can do to them styling wise. Performance is sufficient. I will let you know in the next couple of days which desision I make.
