Cost of A/C installation on 2000 escort?
Thinking of buying a 2000 Escort, used to have a 1997 and loved it, only problem is the 2000 doesn't have A/C and I live in Hawaii. Does anyone know approximately how much it would cost to have A/C installed? The car's a great deal otherwise. Any approximations would be appreciated.

Usually between $1200 and $1500 depending on the labor rate in your area. Check the web for some aftermarket units, you may be able to do some of the work yourself and save some $.
