A common problem so it seems... my turn signal issues.
Okay, I bought a 1998 Intrigue literally days ago. Originally the owner said the right side turn signals did not work, but when I went to pick it up he said he replaced a connector (the socket?) and it works now.
Today, 3 days after picking it up, I noticed the radiator cap was improperly installed nad was venting coolant into the engine compartment. I cleaned everything off with water and degreaser and noticed the front right turn signal (the one that did not work) flashes double and the light does not come on in front. The bulb is fine. Dash indicator flashes. What gives? |

The case of the melted socket, AGAIN.
It was a melted socket. I assume that's what he meant by connector?
Why does it do this? Where's the cheapest place to get a new socket? I put a new bulb in and bent the leads out for now |

bulb socket
The same thing happened to my daughter's 98. I just bought a new socket from the dealer for about 20 bucks. A bit pricey, but you can probably buy one from Advance Auto or any parts store for that matter.
