abs sensor location?

On a 91 1500 with rear abs, where is the abs sensor? I saw a sensor on the transfer case, but I think that is just the speed sensor. My brake light comes on at 37 mph and my cruise does not work.

Re: abs sensor location?

Are you talking about anti-lock-brakes? How would that make your brake lights come on??

Do you have drum brakes in the rear? If so, chances are you don't even have ABS in the rear. If anything, it would just be in the front.

Re: abs sensor location?

A '91 may have RWAL ABS. If your's does, the sensor is located on the rear differential.

I believe, and I may be wrong, that in that year, it was an option.

not sure

I don't know if it has it or not. There in no sensors on the read at all, but it does have the computer box attached to the master cylnder and the 2 cylinoid things by the perportioning valve.
