Warming up my 74'

I own a 74' nova with a 250 inline-six, it takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes to warm up, i was woundering if anyone could tell me what might be the problem and what i might be able to do to reduce the time it takes to warm up.

Re: Warming up my 74'

I have the same Kinda of engine, and 2 barrle carb, what kind of carb you have? Mine takes 5-10min, but its a 68 and they just take long to warm up. Thats the way it goes. Plus its good to actually warm up a car anyway, no matter what kind of car or year. The only way you can shorten it is if you get fuel injectors. The whole reason my car needs to warm up is becuase of the carb. The Choke on it needs to be warmed up since its an electric choke, but when its cold and I hit the gas it closes and my car stalls so.....
