Removed Scatched, too smooth

I had some scratches an the saddle bag of my bike which I managed to get out with a heat gun but now the plastic is too smooth. The rest of the bag has a rough sort of random texture and is dull. Is there anyway I can make the smooth surface back to the original?

Re: Removed Scatched, too smooth

If its plastic you can use a texture paint on it which will bring back the texture you lost when you heated the plastic.

Re: Removed Scatched, too smooth

CpaintCars,

That's a good idea!

I have asked a few people and they suggest re-heating the area as well and perhaps trying to make a stamp plate of a similar texture and stamping the flat area. Not sure it would be easy though! I think your idea is best!

Hey, just trying to help...the other way would work too but not as easy as just spraying it.

Re: Removed Scatched, too smooth

CpaintCars,

I agree with you! I think painting would be the best bet!

Good Advice!
