Re: Tires

With new wheels you can fit 295s out back without any mods or you can also run 275 front and rear but on the stock wheels i think your limited to 245 with the 16". You can go wider than that but the sidewalls get too tall.

Re: Tires

You can get 260 Zexius for it Z rated style. I put 245 60 R16's Z on mine and they have puny sidewalls.Zexius makes good Z rated tires and run about half the competition. GOt mine for 114 a peice. My Eagle RS's for 89 which are like crap but better for breaking ( front tires.)

Thumbs up

You can use a 15x10 with 5.5 backspacing or equivalent backspacing on a different diameter wheel. The 15x10 with a 29x12.50-15 micky thompson tire gives you 13" section width and 10.6 of tread. All you have to do is a very small amount of inner fenderwell massaging on the front inner side. This setup nicely tucks these fat boys underneath the fenderwells. Looks very bad ass from behind or from the side.

Re: Tires

Considering that the post is named tires and hes asking whats the widest, im guessing he wants to know how wide of a tire he can stuff in his car. Im sticking with 295s because I havent seen anything with 315s without some modifications.

Re: Tires

only time you really 'need' to buy a full set of matching rims and tires is if you run AWD or 4X4 due to the fact if you mismatch , while running 4 or awd , it tends to put a shit load of stress on the T-cse and makes them burn up about 20 years early. heh.

Re: Tires

not true, not true in the least bit. considering that the only thing that actually connects your vehicle to the road is the rubber, wheel and tire combinations have probably the greatest effect on handling. if you have really sticky tires on the back, and different stock tires on the front and try to go run some turns, you are gonna have serious problems. even for everyday driving, if you have different tires that have different wet traction characteristics on the front and back, it could cause serious situations while you are going down the road...
