Exclamation 97 Blazer Wont Start!! Help!!

hi :o(

my truck = broken!!!

I went to try and start her up and she didnt catch right away, so i thought i didnt hold the ignition over long enough, so i retried, she started, put-putted and died. Almost like shes not getting gas. But if i try again the engine will hit a deadspot and jus stop cranking.

I checked the fuel pump (which is kicking on)

The fuel filter is brand new..

I checked the fues to the Engine Control Module and I have NO IDEA what it might be?

The mechanic from my boyfriend's work is going to come and look at it i think? He's going to spray Ether down the carb. and if she starts that means shes not getting gas....
Its kicking over but not catching, almost like an old car you havnt run in a while and u got to give her gas so she doesnt stall, and when i flood out the motor she will kick over longer, but when she does catch the gas doesnt do anything she just stalls..

Anybody have a similar problem or does anyone know what i should check or what it might be? I'd appreciate it, thanks guys!!

Re: 97 Blazer Wont Start!! Help!!

deff. sounds like a fuel pump......... $356 at auto zone for the part. Find someone with a fuel pressure guage, it must be at least 60 pounds, 55 pounds will make it hard to start. Make sure the tank is just about empty before removeing it from the car. It is not all that bad to change but you must have alot of patience to do the job. Good Luck.
