Door Slam

I'm sure everyone here has this problem, well most of u guy who own old cars. I own a 94 LS, and everytime when I close my passenger side door it make a huge ass noise as if the window going to break. I'm sick and tire of telling my friends to not slam teh door. Even if i do close the door softly, it still make that annoying noise. Does anyone know what i can do to fix this problem. is it the weather stripping or what? I notice that my driver door make the same noise, but not as loud as my passenger side. any suggestion will help!!! Thanks

Re: Door Slam

does it make the noise with the windows up or down?, mine had a similar problem, but it only happened when the windows were down.

Re: Door Slam

well for me it was the "rubber guide thingy" thats inside the door panel, im not sure what its called (its on the side of the door closest to the rear)....
anyways the rubber thingy had fallen out of its metal housing, i took the housing out along with the rubber guide which was laying in the bottom of the door and glued it back in to its housing,, put back in the housing with rubber guide, added alittle wd40 and it was fixed.
now im not sure if this is what happend, but id suggest removing ur door panel and the carefully peeling back the splash guard and looking inside the door for loose peices, etc...

hope this helps, if not contact me on aim or something or just reply with what u dont get
