Custom 10" sub box
I picked up 2 sony x-plod 10" subs today to go with my 1000 wat amp i got as a gift awhile back, after experimenting i leared im going to have to sacrifice some foot room and slide my seat forward, i cant spare any room on my drivers side as im much 2 tall, just wonderig if anyone has plans for a truckbox built to fit both 10"s behind the passanger seat and middle console, that way i can save seat room and put the amp behind the driver seat
this is in a 96 ranger reg cab |

you could build the box with a angled front and no back wall thats right use the metal wall of the cab as the back wall of the box this should buy you some room use some dynamat on the back wall to stop vibration and try raising the passenger seat and mount the amp under the seat i did this in my buddy's truck 2 pioneer 10s no back wall just built the box siliconed it to the back wall and did 2 layers of dynamat and about a pound and a half of pillow stuffing sounds pretty good i can tell when he is at the top of the street if you have questions email me at [email protected] later and good luck

Get rid of the Sonys and get a Audio Bahn 1000 RMS 10" woofer. Then get a single 10 box for the passenger side. Bridge the speaker on the amp between the 2 channels. If you leave a channel open, it'll blow your amp all to hell. Was really loud in my 88 Ranger.

Re: Custom 10% sub box
Scrap your sonys return them, If you want a shit load of bass that makes you ears bleed the audiobahn like Psychopete said but if you like bass to just accent the music then a get an 8 inch Bazooka tube. there are many different wattages for amped ones and there are many for unamped. i have a 100 watt one and it sounds great and i didnt give up any leg room
