Re: wheel width?
Yeap! Had the aluminum's 15x7 on my 1st Rodeo, 91 V6.
Came from the dealer with 31x10.50's Goodyear Wrangler if I remember right, (the tire). The size was for sure 31x10.50, still have all the paper work.

Re: wheel width?
thx for the reply, I called the cooper info line and the guy told me that 7" is a bit on the narrow side for a 31x10.5 but he probably has never seen the effects of what he was talking about! anyway, did you have any unusual wear pattern? did the middle of the tire wear out quick?

When I owned my '87 Trooper, I found a nice set of Toyota steel wheels (15 x 8) and installed 31 x 10.5 Cooper Discoverers on them. It looked great, and the wheel width was just right. I would agree with the people at the information line that a 7 inch wheel is on the narrow side. It will work, as RF said, but the tire will be "pinched in" to fit the wheel. It wouldn't look right to me, but that's just my opinion.
