what kind of gas milage with 500 horse?

If a owner of a 03 cobra made his have 500 horse, what kind of horrible gas millage is he lookinh at? If you did have 500 horse would you have to get new axls, or anything like that, or could the stock parts take that much power?

Re: what kind of gas milage with 500 horse?

well it depends. If he just changed the blower pulley got exhaust and intake. then he should have the same gas milage. It is controled by throttle postion if i understand it right so as long as he doesnt put it to the floor then he should have pretty freckin to close stock gas milage, But once he does put it down his gas milage is gonna drop faster then a girls dress on prom.

Stock IRS halfshafts in an 03 Cobra will most likely not take a high RPM launch on slicks. Street tires tend to be more forgiving, if there is no wheelhop. If this person is serious about drag racing his Cobra, the best mod would be non-IRS (9 inch, 8.8 etc) rearend with some good axles.

????? ok if you have enough money to have a new cobra and have enough money to put it up in the 500HP range (I know it does not take much to get that but, it is to new to be cheap.) then why are you worried about gasmileage.

Stay out of the boost and you will be fine.
