Im sure most of you guys have seen the vertical doors on import precision.com they have um for our cars for $1500 i figured if i get rid of the base later on n get the vr-4 if money isnt tight id get it. I figure our cars are already super cars y not give it that final look. Just wanted to know what you guys thought of the vertical doors on a 3000GT.

I've seen two 3000GTs with em on, they look nice but I worry as to how long the shocks last. they are nice though!

heck, those VLS doors ARE nice! ya, talskinguy had installed some on his car. search the forums for 'lambo' or 'vls'. i'd get em in a second. i would like to note that the VLS doors are the ONLY aesthetic modification that i IMO would spend money on. Everything else is purely aesthetic (lights, sounds system, paint, window tint, rims, etc) and do not really serve much of a purpose or have any functionality. The VLS doors are very functional, are freakin cool looking, and DO aid when you're getting out of your car and there's not much room to open the door...as we all have experienced in the low-riding sports cars, namely the illustrious 3000GT.

Re: Vls

The kit has a lot more hype that its worth. They piss me off more than anything. The only time I have them open in the lambo way is to impress girls or if the car is just sitting there. The shocks can barely lift the door, and if it gets below a certain temp (60*) there is no way in hell they are going to open lambo style, at least not from the inside, and once you get them up they will sag a little. The clearence on the fenders sucks, and for some reason one door is more vertaical that the other even though they clear the A-Pillar with the same amount of room.

This kit seriously needs a lot of improvment before it should be considered unless your car is show only. As an everyday useage its much easyer to just use the doors as normal doors. If anyone wants to buy mine they are welcome to them and Ill even give you a discount. 1250 shipped?? They are normally 1585? shpped. It will help finance my plasma cutter and daily driver. so I can make some good "lambo" doors.
