Raced a Nissan Se R and 6th gen hatch with B16

The first race I had the SeR by about a car, and slowly pulling untill I missed the shit out of 3rd gear then I just gave up...we raced again, and I spun all through first, and by that time my crappy clutch was slipping taking like a whole second between shifts..but we ended up being like dead even the whole way, then I started slowly catching up to him after the quarter.

The B16 hatch only had me by about a car. Damnit I need to go out there without my system and put my steelies on, everytime I race I always have my heavy rim+system in my car. I need to get my new tranny and clutch in also. Oh well it was fun.

d15 mini-me...so...

10:1 compression, .455 lift cam, bolt ons...
not to mention the fact that the d series is lighter

I'm all for b16 swaps and b series in general, but that setup probably makes as much power as a b16 and even though its 1.5L, i'd bet it makes more torque than a b16

^^ yeah contrary to some beliefs b16 is not the holy grail of honda motors. Its not too shabby though.

Hmm... Trying to compare a motor with a head swap, a cam, and a bunch of bolt ons to a stock motor?! I'll stick with a stock B16 and have room to grow.

Seriously though, I want to see real track times from this monster D series. Not some lame street race story.

eh why did you quote me? I wasnt compairing any motors. I was just saying some people treat the b16 like its the only option for performance.

BTW is was 6th gen hatch sorry. Lame street race story? I just said what happend I wasn't trying to make my self sound RoXXor or anything. Plus here we go again, SOHC vs. DOHC VTEC with more displacement. Anyway...
