JDM rear speaker Pods (for T-mo)

ok a few of you will remember me fitting my JDM rear speaker pods,

well i bought them and the main speaker was shot, so i bought some 10cm Infinity speakers, the quality is great and i didnt want a spekaer in their that was a nasty colour so i went for silver,

anyway the SiR the pods came out of didnt come with rear seat belts like the USDM/EDM civics , it came with rear LAP belts, there for where the JDM speakers fit onto the car there is no slot for the seatbelt to go through, i didnt realise this until actually fitting the JDM units and sombody tried to use the seat belt and it woudlnt go back in , so what i done was trim the edge of the 1/4 interior trim (where the pods bolt onto) nearest the window as it was pinning the seatbelt between the trim and the inside or the 1/4 panel, i didnt want to hack a load off so you can see the white paint underneath so i done it bit by bit and eventually the seatbelts moved freely

also the JDM speakers came with a small tweeter too which is still wired up , all in all i am VERY pleased with them , one of the bets buys i have got

one bad thing with these speaker pods is because they are so high, is that the rear windows can no longer open as the speaker "cage" is blocking the rear window handle to open it, and the seatbelt retainer is at a funny angle but as you can see in the pic it is fine

hope this helps with anyone thats tried fitting them and had the seatbelt problem .

Cheers

Jim

PS someone feel free to re-size the pic lol

Re: JDM rear speaker Pods (for T-mo)

I've heard of Gathers in oversea honda's. Just have never seen a Gather speaker pod before though. Looks real sharp but big compared to the regular speaker pods over here. What if you needed to open the back windows though?
