That's because it's a car that is 2000lbs and has twice the spring rate as my 2500lbs car.

Why so high? I'm actually going the Hondata route next Friday to lower it to 5200rpms.

It's stock like that.. you'd think with the highest-flowing b series head they would have made it lower.

Re: Autocross video from Northeast Divisionals 2004.

They give you a course map and let you walk the track for 2-3 hours before the racing starts. You gotta take the first couple rounds a bit slow to get it down, then with the remaining 3, get on it (we usually get 5 runs here at the SCCA events, could be different elsewhere).

That is a sweet video man. You were tearin' up that track. Makes me want to do that. *Note to self - Get motor swap, springs, shocks, and rear sway bar for next summer*

Re: Autocross video from Northeast Divisionals 2004.

Actually each region is different, but you do get to walk the course as many times as you can fit before they start the event. Gives you a basic idea what the course is like and how to attack it. Some regions don't have course maps though.

The best thing to do is show up to an event, let them know you are a novice and would like some help. Great thing about autocrossers is that they will go out of their way to help you out. I've been doing this 7 years now and still ask for help from the experts.

CivicSpoon: Just to let you know the more mods you do the harder the class you get put in.

Guys read my help page in my sig.

Re: Autocross video from Northeast Divisionals 2004.

Oh yeah I know, but I have a gutless CX (70hp) and I have to rev the thing to 2200RPM to get it to move in first gear. I've seen a video of my competition in my area, and basically it'd be me trying to beat my friend with his civic vx h22a/turbo, he actually won the division he was in (who says you can't autocross with an h22 swap).
