Post 96 Accord Dash

I have a 96 Accord EX 4 door and i bought some new guages for it, and i need to figure out how to take the dash off. i got the two screws off, but that's as far as i wanted to get, cause im afraid of breaking it when i try to pull it off. help plz.

okay...you actually have to take off the trim that goes around the air controls and gauges...all one piece once you get that off then it is easy there are just 4 screws holding the gauge cluster in, after you get it out you'll see how to get it apart.

to take the trim off.
1. pull out the defrost, dimmer and cruise control switches (they pop out with a small screwdriver)
2. behind the dimmer switch there is a screw, and another behind the defroster switch.
3. there are 2 screws right above the where the gauges are.
4. pull the entire unit out (not to hard to do and it has a lot of flex in it so you shouldn't break it) Make sure your steering wheel is tilted all the way down as this makes the process easier.
5. to avoid having to disconnect all the air controls just turn the entire trim piece so it lays on the center console after you get it out.

if all else fails go to the parts store and buy a manual for 8 bucks it has better instructions and pictures too.
