Cancelled!

This is the second time the local drags have been cancelled. Every time I can go, its too wet and they wait until that afternoon to tell the world.

And I was looking forward to seeing some good burnouts

lol damn that sucks. did you see the video of the kid in an accord (i think) that tries to drift in his neighborhood. While drifting (as he would call it) his car ended up going sideways into a curb and ruining his rim/axle and other shit lol

I never saw that. apparantly that kid was stupid or confident (too much of either, i suppose)

I'm not confident enough to (try to) drift in a neighborhood or evena public road yet. I just go find a parking lot, set up some cones (or just sidewalk chalk but that's harder to work with) and go at it.

I drift in my 96 S-10 Chevy Blazer I like doing it on the city streets, it is fun, except when the cop's are called then you have to stop! It sucks I wish some one would make a place for cars and car enthusiast to go other than the Strip, more like a big parking lot where anything goes, not just parking, you know getting together and hangin out, and drift, or drag!

^^^Even though its a brilliant idea, no one with their right mind would take the risk of people doing dangerous things with cars on their property with the ability of being sued. Unless its your property, then the danger is all your own.

well here's an idea. 1/4X1/4 or 1/2X1/2 mile square peice of asphalt, fenced in. for a minimal fee and by signing a general waiver, people become members of this tarmac club where pretty much anything goes. Bring some cones and practice your drifting, park and hang out, whatever works...

It would take some money and some doing, but with the recent major upsurge of automotive enthusiasm among young people, I think the idea would work brilliantly.
