interior accessories lights???

We have a used 1993 Chevy Lumina. So, I'm not sure if this is a problem, or just something peculiar with the Chevy Lumina. My wifes car. Anyway, at night you have to switch on the light on the mirror to see the "heat", "A/C", "Defroster", "Vent", etc. There are no lights to illuminate them. Is this just the way it is, or is there a bulb burned out somewhere and we are... in the dark.

Re: interior accessories lights???

there is a bulb in the heater control head that makes it light up. Unfortunately, it is soldered to the circuit board and is not easy to replace.

Thanks! I thought it would be kind of funny if it was engineered with no way of seeing the basic controls during night driving. I've even thought of putting in a LED spot light to illuminate the area.

To get to the circuit board I need to remove the screws at the top and surrounding area of the dashboard?
