Re: White smoke??????????

pull the plugs and see if one of them is oily, or if one if them is white. Oily you have a bad ring more than likely, white your burning coolent.

does the smoke smell like oil or does it have a sweet smell?

Re: White smoke??????????

oil on the buisiness end of the spark plug, not in the hole the plug goes in.

Re: White smoke??????????

If the car was spitting out black stuff which is most likely carbon because it was running rich and you said you fixed that. So maybe now you fixed it too good and your running lean. But check the sparkplugs for oil and pop the radiator cap off and look to see if theres any oil loafing around in there.

Re: White smoke??????????

also check your coolant overflow container for oil. And look on the buttom of the cap for gray oily crap.

Why won't your car pass inspection? My 89 passed with a bad headgasket, and i mean BAD.
