If the Brahma and XXX are so good...

If the Brahma and the XXX are so good, why dont more people use them in competitions...it seems that if one sub can use 800 watts (1 amp) and hit 150db that they would be winning every competition for that class. Also why do people choose the jlw7 over these? Is it just because alpine advertises more? Why doesnt Adire try to expand more into major stores?

Also, most people don't know about these subs. I know people who are hitting high numbers and in spl competitions winning

Local competitions, or state competitions. Also, does anybody know if having back seats (in a 4 door sedan) that are not fold down make a big difference in SPL as far as every day bumpin?

many people do use them in SPL competitions, the thing is they aren't built for SPL, they're built for pure, unadaultered sound quality. The fact that they get obscenely loud is just a bonus, but you pay for it. You can get much louder for cheaper by going with something that doesn't sound as good, and for SPL competitiors that is normally a better choice, since they don't really care about sound quality.

And many people pick the W7 because they are convinced that JL is "the best" because their local JL dealer said so, so automatically anything else is crappy in comparison. I mean everything else costs less, so it must not be as good right? And no, Adire does almost no advertising, that's WHY you can get the brahma so much cheaper than the w7. If they were to advertise everywhere, expand across the US, get local dealers in every city, etc, I can promise you the Brahma would end up being just as expensive as the W7.
