2000 JX Conv Keyless entry question
When I purchased my sebring (used) there was a keyless entry key fob in the glove box. Of course it did not do anything. Is there anyway to tell if the keyless entry option is installed in my car (the location of the magic box).
I tried to resyncronize the remote following the instructions in the owners manual but did not do anything. So I am not sure if my car even has the keyless entry option installed or if the key fob is not working. The batteries are good so that is not the problem. The key fob p/n is 04671226 and from what I gather is the correct one for this particular year. Anyone have any info that would be useful? |

Re: 2000 JX Conv Keyless entry question
Hey
I have a 2000 Chrysler Sebring Convertible JXi - I have the same remotes that you have but they don't work. The dealership wants to charge me $50.00 to program them. I don't have the owners manual could you tell me the steps it says to take in the book. Thanks in advance. |

Remotes
On a 2000 Sebring JXI you will have to let the dealer program your remotes. The programing is done by the use of a "scan" tool.
I also own a 2000 JXI and that is what the factory service manual says. Re-sync and programing are two different things. |
