i own a 94 lumina z34 with the 3.4 its automatic. when i floor it it hesitates and does dosnt even attempt to spin the tires....the reason this bothers me so much is that my friend has a 3.1 lumina auto and it will leave a cloud of smoke down the road....any help would be awesome......what could cause this crappy performance?????

A dirty intake manifold can make a severe impact on performance. PUll off the plenum and clean it out as good as you can, with plenty of carb cleaner and a stiff bottle brush. Clean the throttle body the same way. After that put it all back together and run some Seafoam thorugh a vacuum line to get the stuff in the intake ports on the heads. Id also run some feul injector cleaner, give it new plugs and wires, pcv valve, air and feul filters. Basically, give it a tune up.
