replacing fuel pump (windstar)
We are going to attempt to replace our 98 windstar's fuel pump and would like to know if anyone has any tips for the procedure. Have replaced a fuel pump on a different type car and had pretty good luck doing so.

It's inside the tank, so run the fuel down as far as you dare before starting, to avoid spills etc. Also, in most cases you need to lower the tank, so having as little fuel in it as possible will make it MUCH lighter (each gallon weighs about 7.5 pounds).
