Cam Selection

I have a 2002 Ext. Cab. 1500, 5.3L engine with headers, cat back exhaust and air-flow intake. I'm considering installing a Crane # 1449571 cam. Spec's at 0.050" are 210 Int., 218 Exh., 112 Lobe Sep., 531 lift. Has anyone tried this cam? Do you have a recommendation? The truck is a daily driver, occasionally pull a trailer, but mosly run up and down rural roads and Interstate Hwy. I want the truck to Move when I press on the loud pedal. Thanks for your help.

I don't have experience with that cam, but I did install a TR224/224 with a 114 lobe sep. I think that it is smart to get an aftermarket converter when you start getting in the higher rpm cams. I also had to get the Comp 918 springs, they have a maximum lift of .600. My 3000 stall keeps me in the meat of my cam at all times at wide open throttle. It feels great to shift gears at 6400 rpms!
