buy in canada?

Can I have a Canadian friend buy a car for me in Canada and then have him/her give it to me for a dollar and then......... just drive it over the border, saving the difference?

Just an idea...

Looking to buy a Golf 1.8T, 4 door any comments re: would be great.

Tim

You would have to check with American customs. The Canadian version should be the same (mostly) as the America version, so you should have no problems. IT would be different if you wanted a Lada, though.

If you bought here, I dont think you would save very much, because of the exchange rate, your money is worth more, but the cars here cost more.

If you could save money, go right ahead!

PS, where do you live?? I could be a partner in this, maybe, depends.
