questions on 01 blazer

bought a 01 blazer in january with 12k miles on it. since then put on about 4k miles. had to have the tie rods replaced about 2 months ago, and yesterday had it checked because it squeaks quite a bit from the front when you go over a bump. was told it needs new bushings, to the tune of 8 or 900 bucks. was also told that this, and the tie bar replacement, should not be necessary on a vehicle unless it had a good 80-120k miles on it. that this could possibly be a floodie. waiting on the carfax return to doublecheck, but are there any other reasons why these fairly major repairs would need to be done so soon?

Since I cannot notify you via email nor PM since you have it turned off, I am left to do it in the forum directly.

On behalf of AF and its members, we welcome you to AF, but this section is only for Introductions. No car questions are to be posted in here. Therefore I took the liberty of copying your post over to the Chevy Blazer section. The members there will gladly help you out.
Feel free to repost your introduction, minus any automobile questions.

While it's understandable that you are probably new to AF and are eager to post away, please take the time to read any bold red colored Important notices at the top of each section. These are extra guidelines (for that particular section). It would be advisable to read them before making any postings. This insures having the topic being posted/discussed is in the correct section. I would also suggest to re-read the AF Guidelines.

Thanks and enjoy your ongoing visits.
