Hi, Hope someone can give me some advice - I have an '89 MkIII turbo.
Very occasionaly after running it on the turbo - if I change down a gear I get some grey/white smoke from the exhaust. This is not repeated if i rev the engine - even quite hard (never managed to get any smoke from it by revving it up) However I sometimes get a "pop" from the exhaust as though it's pushing too much fuel through when i'm letting the car slow down under engine breaking. Can anyone give me some advice - is the car just badly set up or is my turbo on the way out. Hope someone can help Regards to all!! |

No mods other than a stainless exhaust (probably doesn't provide that much back pressure though)
