Unhappy I Got Sand In My Engine!!!

Sup everyone today i went to the beach and drove on the sand & i stopped b/c my friend stopped in front of me. Next thing you kno my car sinks in the sand as i try to flore it.. i reved and reved and she was still stuck then i put it in reverse and flored it.. finally my friends push my car out and when i popped my hood there was a shiet load of sand everywhere!! what can i do to clean this mess?!?!?

Try powerwashing the motor at a place where you can wash your car with a high pressure hose. Make sure you cover up the important things(ie: air filter, alternator, distributor..etc) You get the idea. That should clean everything up. Did the sand actually get sucked into the motor itself?? I hope not or "bye-bye" to your motor.

i don't think so, as soon as i got the car out of the sand i poped my hood and took out the intake filter dusted it off and checked inside the tube n there was no sign of sand in there.. what kind of symptoms should i be lookin for if sand did happen to get in the engine?

hahah good old dayz ay? n e way today i went to the car wash like u said and washed out my engine.. i covered the battery, intake, distrubutor but cover up the alternater. most of the sand went away but some are still left. is there another method i can use to like clean up my engine to make it look spankin new?/

Get an airhose and blow that shiznit out of the remaining areas.
