engine code?

few months back had a bad mass air flow sensor, car would not run. replaced that, running fine again. now the service engine light comes on while driving on the highway only for a few seconds. i replaced the o2 sensor casue I thought it might have gotten clogged up when the maf went bad (running rich). any ideas what might be casuing this? I'd like to try resetting the computer, how do i go about this?

Take it somewhere to have the codes scanned. Even though the light isn't on it is in the computer's memory. Resetting the computer won't do anything more than cover up a bigger problem. Or the light will come on again anyway.

I'm going through my own issue with the engine light. EVap code says "small leak in evap system" tried changing the gas cap to no avail. Then did the gas tank smoke test...no apparent leak. I had to go to the last resort -- the dealer -- today.

and the car won't pass inspection with an engine light on. Even if you have it scanned and reset before you go, their tests will set it off again.
