MAS needed?
I've seeen some intake piping that compleetly eliminates the MAS, I've unpluged my MAS once to clean out the throttle body and when I forgot to plug it back in and tried to start the car it wouldn't go, is there some other air flow sensor that one would need to install if one wanted to get some intake piping that eliminated the MAS?

Re: MAS needed?
It completely eliminates the MAS? do you have the link? I thought it has to be there for the car to run right?

Re: MAS needed?
Thats what I thought, I have a feeling there is something else you have to install. There are a few items that say (and show) that there is no MAS.

Re: MAS needed?
That is part of the Blow Thru setup. This setup does have a MAS, it is just relocated to the y-pipe:

Re: MAS needed?
Interesting, is the MAS bad in terms of flow and acurate mesurements?

Re: MAS needed?
Well I don't know too much about the Blow Thru setup, but I think it is primarily good for larger turbos. It allows more air flow to the turbos from the intake. The stock MAS isn't horrible....but alot of people pushing more power, usually with upgraded turbos, look into replacing the stock MAS with the much larger GM MAF from the ls1 or z06 engines which have a much larger diameter and don't have the honeycomb stuff inside.
