im not sure, but whats the best celica motor???? im thinkin that the 5sfe might be good beacuse its a 2.2L. but im not sure. so what do you guys think.

the 3SGTE are the turbo 2.0L that were available in the celica All Trac which were awd.

But I like the 3TGTE, twin spark baby!

the engine has nothing to do with the car being awd, fwd, or rwd... but the celica's which came with the engine were awd... the 3sgte has been known to withstand over 700hp on the sock bottom end.. it has massive hp potential

The 3S-GTE has the most potential, but I think the 2ZZ-GE (modern Celica GT-S motor) is a lot more fun.

That's not true, 2ZZ is a great N/A, so is the 3SGE, but the 2ZZ is more compact and lighter. For a paseo it's much better suited. With the added weight of the 2ZZ the car would weigh, what 2200-2250lbs? and a car with that kind of weight pumping easy with some mods 200hp would be a nice pocket rocket.

im not saying the 2zzge is a bad motor its just that its way to high of compression to turbo and its a very hard swap to accomplish, ive never eard of anyone ever putting a 2zzge in any car other than a celica gt....theres an assload of wiering , as well as hella sensors and the fact that the 2zzge is a relitivly big motor compared to soemthing like the 4afe the paseo comes with

zz engines= 00-05 celica's, 00-05 mr2 spyder, matrix xr & zrs, corolla xrs, lotus elise, and the pontiac vibe gt= all carry the zz engine.
