need lowerin kit

for my 2003 double cab tacoma

i cant seem to find any lowering kits for an 03 and i was wondering if there even is one. and i dont know much about this but can i just take my truck to a place (checker auto parts) and have it lowered or do i have to buy a kit then have them lower it

Well, if the shop is experience in lowering vehicles, they may be able to do it, might even have things on hand for your application. If you have the 2WD, DJM Suspension makes a 3" all around drop kit and a 3"/4" drop kit. That's about all I know.

you can do it either way, how much work do YOU want to do? there's a good chance there are parts you can use, even if they are not yet listed for your application. eibach makes coils for almost everything, and a good 4x4 shop can definately get you lowered in back...i took mine to the local tire dealer and they were able to "just do it" but they only offered a 2"front 3"back drop and i eventually had to buy parts myself and have them installed a a local 4x4 shop to reach the 4"/5" ride i have now....autobahn wholesale used to have stuff to lower tacomas
