8x conquest tsi

Any one out there know any info on these cars? My son picked one up that does not run, and is trying to get it going...
It fires (has spark) but doesnt turn over. Looks like previous owner replaced brain box 2 or 3 times. Tried carb cleaner to induce spark, but it was a no go.
Any sites or helpful info for me??
Thanks

Re: 8x conquest tsi

if it fires then it is turning over but it is not starting, go to the store, buy some starting fluid, not carb cleaner, if it fires than you have a fuel or distributor timing problem, if it is fuel injected you should hear the fuel pump run for a sec or two when you turn the key, let me know
