Idle air valve (motor)
91 Merc GM, 5.0.........wondering where the idle air valve is located.....and what it looks like........please indicate as if one is standing in front of the motor...........

on my '86 it was on the firewall side of the air intake (on driver's side). It's placed at a 45* angle sloping from the center to the driver's side. Easy to replace, 2 8mm bolts and a plug. Mine was a $72 part.
