Re: trans

450 hp will last with the trans that's in the car...should anyway. What kinda car is it again? I have a friend with a T45 in his 99 cobra that has run 10.6 and he had to take it easy on the trans but he was putting down 500+rwhp. I'm guessing you have a T5?

Re: trans

what all are you going to do? 450 all motor or nitrous or forced? If you're making a drag car only go auto and forget the manual...if you want fun to drive i think the T5 can handle it but dont have much first hand experience...

Re: trans

just a word of warning if it's going to be a highhp forced car...Friends 90 GT procharged car got too wild with the T5 in it. He was putting out a little more hp then you will (600-700) but it was nearly undrivable. Car would wind up and twist everything and become hard to shift...He went with a C4 and now has a powerglide and hasn't looked back since. Manuals are a TON of fun to drive around but auto's have advantages too...T5 should live behind your setup if it's in good shape.
