Question Hub-bearing and anti-lock brake light

Hello all - I have 1994 Century Custom. Recently the front driver side suspension started making a sporatic grinding noise. I assumed it to be a failing CV and replaced the half shaft. While I was in there I also put a new lower ball joint on and replaced the tie rod end.

Well - the niose is continuing and getting progressively worse. I couldn't decide if it was the hub/bearing assembly or the transmission grinding but was settling on the hub and then 2 days ago my ANTI-LOCK BRAKE light on the dash comes on and has remained on, further leading me to think the problem is in fact the hub.

The grinding only happens upon acceleration, is worse when the car is cold, and is worse when accelerating from a stop, but will happen some times at speed while accelerating. There is no niose when the car is just cruising. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

LEE

Could be a sticky piston in one of your brake calipers or gummed up brake slides or unevenly worn brake pads.
