swapping my 2.7 for a larger engine
i was wondering if anybody knew where i could get an engine from liek an LXI, also could i use my 604 trans. i know that the 2.7's are crap but how are the larger engine's on the concordes?

Can be done, you can change it out to either a 3.2 or a 3.5. They are very reliable engines, you just have a timing belt to worry about at around 100K miles.
Also, your trans is a 606, not a 604. Basically it's the same though. the 604 is for transverse mounted engines.

3.5 is definitely the way to go, good torque and pulls real hard from 4000-6500 RPM, decent economy too.
I would think the PCM would need changed too to get the correct fuel mapping for the larger engines as well as Transmission Shift Points. |

PCM should be changed, but i know a few who are running 3.5L's on 2.7L PCM's with no problems. Actully went to a drag strip with a guy last april who had swaped to a 3.5L and was still using his 2.7L pcm. Ran low 15's....
