Unlocking SuperChips

I have a 99 silverado 5.3 - i wrecked it about a month ago and had my superchips set up on it. well, wouldn't you know it, before I could detune the carcus, the insurance co took it and now i have a new one - identical truck. I contacted superchips and the said it would cost 125$ plus shipping to unlock it. Kinda steep considering i already paid 400 for it.

Does anyone know of any other ways to unlock the unit so that I can tune my new truck?

Thanks

Re: Unlocking SuperChips

Nope no other way. SC has to restore their programming to the unit. Keep in mind that it will only work on another 99-00 truck. I've still got my tuner, unlocked, sitting in the garage from my 99 5.3.
