S-15 starting problems
We have a 93 S-15 with the CPI 4.3. REcently, in the mornings, it will crank, gets fuel, but won't start. Turning the key all the way off, then back on a few times seems to do the trick. My first thought is ignition switch, but father in law, a 25 year GM parts guy, says that coils in those have a habit of flaking out in the cooler weather.
Anyone out there deal with this? Thanks. |

It was the pump
Thanks folks...a new AC/Delco fuel pump solved the problem.
And for the record, it's not too hard to change in a S-10/S-15. Backyard mechanics its about a 5 out fo 10 in difficulty. |

Re: S-15 starting problems
Don't you have to lower the gas tank to do the fix? I've heard it's a pain. Maybe thats only in the newer vehicles though
