Electrical Gauge in red
I've owned my 94 Cherokee Sport for 3 years and the Volt Gauge has read in the red the whole time. I've changed the battery once since then. Everything works for now, is this a warning of something bad to come or just a bad reading?
thinking if it aint broke don't fix it aaron |

If you replaced the battery and everything looks good don't jinx it LoL
It could have been the battery or the connections. |

Re: Electrical Gauge in red
Sounds like the only thing broken is the gauge or the sending unit. I'd have it checked out. Your voltmeter can be pretty useful.

Re: Electrical Gauge in red
Is it possible that the voltmeter isn't zeroing and starts at a high reading?

Re: Electrical Gauge in red
To chek it, get a digital volt meter, running compare what the meter reads and what your guage reads. should be around 13-14.5 volts at idle.
