A whole lot cheaper to trade your car in and get one with a manual. Different wiring harness, different computers. You'll spend as much to convert as your car is worth.

better than the clutch on the stick that is, isnt it?

has anyone actually broken the tranny yet? i know they had big clutch issues on the 6speed, but didnt know the actual tranny was a problem.

so couldnt you just get a better clutch for the 6-speed, and be better than the auto, since the actual tranny holds together fine?

yeah of course.... but clutches dont last forever.. (obviously).. but it depends on how much power youre gonna or plan on throwing into your engine....
spec 3... spec 4 if youre really pushin for power...
im jus sayin that the auto trannies.. (most .. if not all) are stronger than manuals in high hp situations...
but obviously.. same hp/ mods in a man/ auto race... yes the manual tranny will be fatser... but an auto will not screw up a shift.. like sometimes with manual cars...
so all in all its pretty even.. (thank god for hyundai for puttin in a good transmission in both cars)

no, do not go turbo with the auto.

nisco, the rd auto trannies blow apart man.

unless of course, you want to send it off to level 10, spends buttloads of money, yet have a good&reliable auto tranny.

almost everyone that goes turbo on rds with an auto tranny swaps it to manual first.

the GK trannies are a hell of alot stronger than the RD's ... much much much stronger.. the blocks... internals.. trannies and axels are all much much stronger...
