97 speedo/tranny problem
My speedometer will suddenly drop to zero and stay there. This also causes the RPM's to act crazy or sometimes drop to zero. The car stills runs but acts like it doesn't want to shift gears. This happens at all speeds.
Any Help or pointers will be appreciated!! Thanks |

I'm sorry but I haven't the slightest what a VSS is. Could you spell it out for me.
Thanks |

Re: 97 speedo/tranny problem
Vehicle Speed Sensor, its a sensor that plugs into the transmission. Its not terribly expensive but also not very easy to replace

Re: Re: 97 speedo/tranny problem
Had the same problem on a 98, was the VSS and cost
about $350.00 for ford to replace it. |
