What's with the super-cold recirculated air?
My 2000 has two cabin air path options, Outside Air, and Recirculated Air.
The Outside Air feels about right temperature-wise. But when the Recirculated Air option is selected, the air IMMEDIATELY gets COLD! . . . it feels like the A/C is actually on. Yet the A/C light does not turn on. There is nothing in the manual that states the A/C kicks in when Recirculated Air is selected. I wouldn't mind the cold air otherwise--I live in sunny S.California--but I don't want to be paying extra in fuel for running A/C. Anyone know what the story is with the recirculated Air? Anyone experience this with their Silverados? |

Bungee, I've noticed that also and it pisses me off for the same reason, fuel economy when it doesnt need to be running. What a dumb idea.
