For those of you that care, I got the full head gasket set.

Ok, so I ordered a full head gasket set, and some NGK spark plugs. total is gonna be 140$, and will be in at 10am tomorrow.

My birthday is on the 14th, so my dad is buying this for me for my 21st birthday instead of the tools i asked him to buy me.

Just for the confidence factor I will update my progress here so you can all tell me how wonderful I am doing muhahaha.

Anyway, i am excited to finally start working on my car... its been garaged for almost two months.. let us hope that this is all I am going to need to do and I won't have the other problem I thought I might have...bent rods.... ew..

Thanks!

Well, look at it this way, at least they are helping with the parts. Does suck about the tools though. And I understand the $$ situation. I'm broke as a joke on a rope with my d15 head in the shop being re-worked.

Fibori, you may be broke as a joke on a rope, but at least the rice you planted in your sig is growing.

Hope everything works out. Are you going to remove the whole head and put in the new head gasket?

Re: For those of you that care, I got the full head gasket set.

$200 isnt going to get you much tools. I have around 5,000 in tools in my shop, but thats over kill for anyone that a professional. I do body work and some mechanic work. To get a good set where you can pretty much work on any part of the car you want is going to cost you about $400 if you buy craftsman. But if you watch around christmas time and join the craftsman club you can get really good discounts. I saved $100 off stuff other day though the craftsman club, and its free to join.

^^Yea man. Ive got about $3000 in Snap on tools (my own tools) and theres still a few things id love to get my hands on. $200 will get you a decent amount of wrenches and screwdrivers and stuff. Something the average weekend fixer would get by on.
