Rollover on Shaw Lake
Not an Xterra, but there was a rollover on one of the trails I've travelled on Xterra4x4.com. Apparenly he rolled 3 times befoe stopping. He had just upgraded his roll cage the weekend before. Yikes!
Here's one of the pictures of his truck: ![]() Here's a shot of my truck at the spot he rolled: |

yikes...
That does not look fun...
Actually, I'm surprised that big-@$$ ARB sticker didn't keep him from tipping....yeah, I can be a cynical bastard sometimes !Do you recall if you "felt" close to tipping when you where on the same part of the trail? |

Oh yeah, I can remember feeling like I was going to tip.
There were a lot of streams that would loosen the downhill slope. As you traversed some of the trails you would pivot the weight of your truck from the back tires and uphill front tire, to the front tires and downhill rear (that wonderful feeling when the weight of the truck shifts between your front and rear diagonal tires).Flying'S took that picure of me. We had some interesting shots watching the driver white knuckle the steering wheel as his truck tipped down the trail. I imagine we made it ok because it's a hard trail and we took it slow. Some of the guys with the modified trucks and lockers can take things a bit fast. Gravity effects us all equally. |

Yikes is right!
Have any of you thought about a rollcage for the X? I don't know if they is much room in the cabin for it but it would be a good thing to have. |

Uh, this thread had been dormant for almost 3 years until you posted, not unexpected that the pics are no longer taking up space on a server.
